Health Care

Health care is Germany's largest and most dynamic industry. Nearly 11% of the GDP – far more than 250 € billion – are generated by more than 4,5 million employees and freelancers. Unlike other industries, however, health care is controlled less by the market and the principle of competition than it is by politics and law. Furthermore autonomy and associations play a considerable part in law implementation and detailed regulation. The reforms of the past years have changed this system fundamentally.

Health insurance companies, doctors, dentists and other health care professionals, pharmacists and the pharmaceutical industry, medical care centers and hospitals, etc. are now challenged with actively preparing their own future through a productive dialogue with health care decision-makers. Whoever does not recognize the chances they are given will come under the same pressure as whoever wastes their strength on useless ideological disputes.

Wiese Consult works at the interface of corporate responsibility and political organization. Our partners' long lasting experience in the center of health care and sociopolitical decision-making lets structures and backgrounds become transparent for our clients. This allows them to actively form part in political processes themselves. The expertise of Wiese Consult helps developing adequate strategies with realistic suggestions and pragmatic alternatives. The professional and political networks contribute to finding competent contacts – even in difficult situations – to specifically present and discuss the client's own ideas. Wiese Consult supports companies, associations and public institutions in order for them to articulate and assert their interests in the complex field of health care and social policy.
